Meet Michael Warrick, a dynamic 25-year-old Black bisexual gentleman aspiring to journalism and screenwriting. As he pursues his degree in Communication Studies, Michael ensures that life isn’t all about textbooks and lectures. In his downtime, he enjoys reading, writing, gaming, and attending concerts (Member of the Beyhive and Hotties). Michael occasionally enjoys Dunkin’ glazed donuts. He’s also a father to his two cats, Bob & Linda (a nod to Bob’s Burger enthusiasts), and a gecko named Viserion (after one of Daenerys’ dragons from Game of Thrones).
In the summer of 2018, the GeekedT platform came to life, encompassing a colorful blog and podcast with his co-host, Kavon Burton. Michael sought to craft a space where he could bring new perspectives and delve deep into subjects ranging from movies and television to comics, novels, and the beautiful complexity of the LGBTQ+ community — especially those topics often brushed aside as too “gay” or “geeky.”
The GeekedT journey, like any other journey, has seen its fair share of triumphs and challenges. Now, reenergized and with renewed focus, Michael is keen to offer fresh, new content once again. His overarching vision? To resonate with individuals who share his passions and to transform GeekedT into a welcoming space for authentic conversations and shared experiences. Join him and explore the colorful world Michael has to offer!
