Hi, my name is Michael Warrick, and I am a 25-year-old Black bisexual man aspiring to a career in journalism and screenwriting. I’m pursuing my degree in Communication Studies, while making sure that life doesn’t stay all about textbooks and lectures. In my downtime, I enjoy reading, writing, gaming, and attending concerts (Member of the Beyhive and Hotties). I’m also a father to two cats, Bob & Linda (a nod to Bob’s Burger enthusiasts), and a gecko named Viserion (after one of Daenerys’ dragons from Game of Thrones).

In the summer of 2018, I brought the GeekedT platform to life, encompassing a colorful blog and podcast with my co-host, Kavon Burton. I sought to craft a space where I could get new perspectives and delve deep into a diverse range of subjects. From movies and television to comics, novels, and the beautiful complexity of the LGBTQ+ community, especially those topics often brushed aside as too “gay” or “geeky.” This diversity of topics is what makes GeekedT a platform worth exploring.

The GeekedT journey, like any other journey, has seen its fair share of triumphs and challenges. Now, reenergized and with renewed focus, I am back to offer fresh, new content once again. I want to resonate with individuals who share my passions and to transform GeekedT into a welcoming and inclusive space for authentic conversations and shared experiences.
